Cloisonné and
Champlevé  Jewellery

I love using these enamel techniques; cutting and fusing fine silver sheet, manipulating silver wire with pliers, and then inlaying wet vitreous enamel with a tiny brush. I layer and blend colours, with each piece being fired multiple times at around 800˚C in my kiln. Some designs also include 24kt gold. It requires a steady hand, concentration and lots of practice.

Showing the power of womanliness and femininity, accentuated with 24k gold foil. I’m not sure where exactly in Asia this little female idol was found but I love her shape, hat and face in particular.
I wanted the colours to be somewhat subdued here and so chose to use grey and red, highlighting her boobs and underpants.

Asian Goddess Pendant

€ 455.00 EUR

With boobs and underpants in 24k gold foil…showing her femininity, fertility and pride in being a woman.
These small female idols originally came from Syria and made their way, in production and actuality, to Cyprus.

Cypriot Goddess Pendant

Anatolian Goddess with Boots Pendant

€ 435.00 EUR

Using her two heads she shows both the light and dark sides of ourselves, accepts that change happens, both good and bad and that there is rarely a change, no matter how frightening initially, that doesn’t also bring with it something wonderful further down the track. Many of these little idols can be found in Anatolia (modern day Turkey) and some are considered to depict the mother (both happy and loving as well as angry). Fair enough methinks... Circa Late 3rd Millennium BCE.
